In someone with healthy skin, it takes around 28 days for the skin to renew itself.
During this 28 days cycle which includes the phases of skin adaptation, skin purging, and recovery. Purging is a cleansing phase which may be associated with acneiform eruption, flakiness or redness, which is completely normal, as it is a sign of removing pre-existing mixture of dead skin with excessive oil.

Hence, constantly changing your skincare routine can irritate your skin and even cause more harm than good. Give each product enough time to show its benefits before deciding if it’s works for your skin or not.
Usually, a good trial period is around 8-12 weeks, unless you experience unbearable irritation or breakouts which might be suggestive of some other skin problem.
